Construction involves 50-100 different stakeholders who don’t trust one another but must do business together frequently. As such, they’re always looking to create and maintain a “single source of truth” around their projects.
Blockchain is the ideal technology given the relationships and trusted information that is involved in managing commercial construction projects.
Tell us about yourself?
I grew up in construction and watched my father struggle in the industry for years.
I founded and scaled a nationwide construction company over the past 10 years. I have managed over $500M in construction projects so I have seen these pain points directly.
I am an analyst for multiple web 3 focused venture firms as well as a frequent speaker and educator.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Focus more on product and shipping earlier. Anything else is noise in early stage startups.
What problem does your business solve?
70% of construction projects finish late or over budget.
$170B per year i wasted due to construction management inefficiencies.
The industry is desperate for to increase margins in any way possible and software is the lowest hanging fruit.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
My personal experience in construction. We want to help not only the companies in construction, but also the people.
Cofounder April Moss’ father was also in the construction industry. The tough conditions and constant struggle eventually led to him committing suicide when April was only 9 years old. Construction has 4-5x more suicides than other industries.
We have seen firsthand how construction can beat people down and we want to help the people of construction.

Our background in construction means we build software By Builders, For Builders.
Blockchain provides us a technology advantage. It is a better tech than a closed off centralized database.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Build products customers love and solve their pain points. Eventually we will be Procore+Blockchain.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Market Timing. Educating the industry on new technology.
