Blocknitive emerged in 2018 as a spin-off of M> Consulting in the face of a detected need to apply an emerging technology, such as blockchain, to create simplified solutions for complex processes.

Tell us about yourself?

I have a degree in economics and two master’s degrees, one in Audit and Financial Risks from the IEB and a second in Digital Transformation from the IE.

After more than 10 years at KPMG working in audits and financial due diligence, I made the leap to banking as head of management control at BNP Paribas.

After a three-year adventure, and having been training throughout that period on new technologies, mainly Blockchain, it was not until March 2020 that I embarked on the Blocknitive project.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

I consider that the best advice I could have given myself is to continue training day by day, not only in my specific field but in the rest of the derivatives that this technology allows.

What problem does your business solve?

At Blocknitive we help companies solve complex business problems such as:

  • Provide traceability in their processes that allows them to be more efficient and save costs
  • Offer truth to your customers
  • Help companies manage the privacy of their customers
  • Ability to move data between companies in a secure and traceable way.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

We are inspired by the complex problems of our clients: we want to translate them into something simple and easy.

We create solutions that allow companies to digitize themselves and seek new forms of growth, thanks to the generation of new business models, cost savings or increased sales thanks to customer loyalty.

From our Asentify platform we try to solve various types of problems such as the lack of process and data traceability, poor security and the digitalization of companies.

What is your magic sauce?

Currently, the main and very clear difference with my competitors is the existence of our solutions in production: the Asentify data platform, which allows solving the problem of GDPR regulations in a simple and secure way, which is unique in Europe.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Blocknitive’s plan covers a time horizon of 5 years in which we want to expand internationally, in addition to Latin America, where we are already present, through European countries and Anglo-Saxon countries such as the US and UK

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The main problem that we have had, and against which we have to continue working, in addition to the pandemic in which we live and that has affected us all, is educating companies on the large number of benefits that this technology brings and that neither they can’t even imagine, making them see that it is an ally for their growth, transparency and long-term sustainability.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

The main objective of Blocknitive is to be able to help large companies achieve objectives such as increasing their reputation and obtaining greater transparency in their processes, which will increase their credibility in the markets in which they operate. If the company manages to strengthen these three basic pillars of the 22nd century (credibility, reputation, transparency), they will be able to see how the income statement will be clearly improved.

Here are several examples:

  • With solutions such as Asentify data, we can help telecommunications companies to provide in real time all the information stored on their customers in relation to the consents and use of data made, all instantly, with a single click, accessing directly from the customer section of the website. This solution would improve a clear reputational problem that this type of company is already associated with, and would undoubtedly have repercussions on its final income statement.
  • The world of agriculture, due to many factors, is experiencing a growing level of demand from different actors, and needs to regain consumer confidence. For this reason, Asentify Trace, aimed at agricultural companies of any size, is a low monthly cost solution that allows the ecosystem to digitize itself and be able to show consumers and other participants in the ecosystem, through a QR code, the traceability and certified transparency of each one. of your products. We have developed this with companies from the world of horticulture and the result has been end-to-end traceability of the lettuce harvesting process. This has allowed them to make the process very efficient and to be able to correct all the inefficiencies that may exist so that the process of collecting and delivering the product does not exceed the estimated time, being able to provide the market with a better quality product that is more durable.
