Tell us about yourself?
I’ve started an AdTech company, after about 3.5 years I’ve decided to leave it for Crypto/Blockchain. I felt the AdTech industry is getting tougher with Google and Facebook making it harder for the smaller companies to make money and thought the future was limited for my company.
I switched to the exact opposite in my opinion an industry that is very young and promising, I think we haven’t scratched the surface yet when it comes to Blockchain, NFTs and everything that surrounds it.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Buy more Crypto! But really I think I’m quite happy with the decisions I’ve made career wise.
The world is evolving our online persona is becoming more and more important, I can see this getting bigger with the metaverse taking a big part of our lives. I’m sure NFTs will play a huge role in this “new world” and we want to be there as soon as we can.
What problem does your business solve?
The size, growth and activity of an NFT community affects the probability of it being successful more than any other factor. We give users a look inside the community and allow them to follow the growth and activity of each project’s community. They can use this information to pick out successful projects and when to sell their NFTs if they are looking for an upsell
What is the inspiration behind your business?
About a year ago I combined two of my passions – NFTs and NBA and bought some moments from a project called NBA TopShot, unfortunately I bought in to this project at probably the worst time, when the community was at its peek and the floor price was going through the roof. Even though I bought some moments which are now worth a lot less, I learned a valuable lesson about the power of community and it led to the idea of CryptoWrap.
What is your magic sauce?
We allow users to follow the social trend and activity inside each platform so they know not only if a project has a community but whether they are active or not. Also we allow customized alerts based on metrics users find important – Floor price change, avg price change, Followers gained, activity change. Pretty anything. Also, we recommend other projects for the user based on NFTs they like.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
To base ourselves as the biggest NFT data platform out there. We also have plans on becoming a marketplace so users don’t have to switch to a different platform, but can do all their research and purchases/sales at one place.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Collecting this information can be tricky, but luckily we have an amazing CTO (Villi Katrih) and a great team so every challenge becomes another way to motivate the team
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We are in middle of raising a seed round and looking for people who want to take part in this project and help it grow. People who see the huge potential in NFTs, a market which is now valued at $27B and will raise significantly soon.
