Immutly is the first of its kind next generation NFT marketplace which allows trading in FIAT currency and offers negligible gas fee on NFT minting, eliminating the dependency of cryptocurrency and its impact on the NFT markets, all possible through the use of our proprietary technology.
Immutly’s mission is simple – we want to make NFTs and the technology backing them more accessible and easier to use in order to realize the full potential of this grand technology.
Immutly has three co-founders all with a background in Engineering, with a combined experience of 12 years in the tech industry, 5 years in Marketing, and 3 years in Finance. Two out of the three co-founders are an alumnus of the prestigious ESADE Business School, Spain.
Tell us about yourself?
I am a serial entrepreneur and engineer. I have a degree in Computer Engineering from NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of technology management & engineering, Mumbai, India, and a master’s degree in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. I have previously founded four startups in the domains of e-commerce, hydroponics, supply-chain & social commerce. With my current startup Immutly being my fifth and operating in the NFT domain.
I am a tech enthusiast, one which was always fascinated with how computers work, this led me to take up programming at a young age and eventually drove me to take up Engineering, it is here where I realized my passion for entrepreneurship & marketing as I launched my first startup during my undergrad.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
One of Steve Job’s quotes is what comes to my mind when I think about the past two years –
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”
I think this embodies my advice, which is to always take a chance, be it with anything. If we don’t try, we will never succeed. We have to believe in ourselves and the process and the dots will connect.
What problem does your business solve?
The most important problem we are tackling is the dependency of cryptocurrency in the NFT market, especially in a country like India, where the legal standpoint regarding the usage of cryptocurrency is still not been clearly defined, this uncertainty has impacted the NFT market in India already. This along with the complication of crypto wallets when purchasing and selling NFTs is something we feel definitely impacts the adoption of NFT marketplaces in India.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Our inspiration is the next revolution in the tech industry, NFT is not a bubble, it most definitely has use cases that will have a huge impact on every other technology that is connected with it. We want to make sure that we can get more and more people to access these technologies as they are becoming mainstream, and our product is definitely aimed at the same.
What is your magic sauce?
I think our purpose for existence, which is to make NFTs more mainstream and to utilize the utility power it holds is what differs us from our competition, we are heavily focused on bringing this to the market.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Our 5-year goal would firstly be the wide adoption of NFTs and more application popping up which further impacts other traditional industries and markets. We would definitely like to expand to other countries and to continue Immutly’s growth.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
I think the education about the technology and its use cases is something that is definitely lagging, but is something that everybody not just Immutly is trying to improve and I do believe that this would be something that we can overcome as an industry.
